What $2,000 to $4,800 Buys in Outdoor Seating: 5 Price Points
Buyer's guide · Published by Outdoor Nook, which makes and sells the furniture shown
Outdoor seating prices make more sense once you see what drives them: how many people a set seats, and how many of those seats recline. Using our Malibu II wicker line as the yardstick, here is what each budget from about $2,000 to $4,800 actually buys, how much patio it needs, and who each step suits.

Prices are from our product pages as of October 2026, before tax, and include free FedEx delivery to the 48 contiguous states. Only sets in stock when we wrote this are listed.
1. About $2,000 to $2,200: a pair of recliners
What you get: two swivel glider recliners, so two seats, and both recline. Each one reclines, glides front to back and swivels 360 degrees, and each has our patent-pending cover built in. For $2,197, the bistro set adds a side table between them.
Footprint: each Malibu II recliner is 32.2 inches wide and stretches to 67 inches long fully reclined with the footrest out. Plan a spot about six feet deep for each chair.
Best for: couples, smaller patios and covered porches, or anyone who wants to start with the most-used seats and add a sofa later. Many owners do exactly that.
“We really want to get the rest of the set, just have to save a little more first lol.”

2. About $2,800: two recliners and a fire table
What you get: the same two recliners plus a 50,000 BTU propane fire table, two seats that both recline. The Malibu II firepit bistro set is $2,775. The propane tank is not included.
Footprint: the fire table is 24 inches across and 22.8 inches high, so it slots between the chairs without adding much floor space.
Best for: fall evenings and anyone who would use a fire more than a side table. See our Fire Pit Nights guides for clearances and layouts.

3. About $3,200 to $3,500: a sofa arrives
What you get: the 4-piece modular loveseat set ($3,192) adds a two-seat modular loveseat to the two recliners: four seats, two of which recline. The modular loveseat is stationary. For $3,510, the 5-piece modular console loveseat set puts a console unit between the two loveseat seats.
If you would rather every seat reclined at this budget, the Keywest reclining loveseat set ($3,354) pairs a reclining loveseat with two Keywest recliners: four seats, all reclining.
Footprint: the Malibu II modular loveseat is 76 inches wide and 35.5 inches deep. The Keywest reclining loveseat is 53 inches wide and needs about 65 inches of depth fully reclined.
Best for: a family of four, or a couple who host now and then and want a sofa to anchor the space.
4. About $3,700 to $3,750: five seats, or four that all recline
What you get: this is where the choice gets interesting. The 5-piece modular sofa set ($3,703) gives you a three-seat modular sofa and two recliners: five seats, two of which recline. The Malibu II reclining loveseat set ($3,744) costs $41 more and makes the opposite trade: four seats, all of which recline.
Footprint: the modular sofa is built from two corner units and an armless unit; check the size chart for your layout. The Malibu II reclining loveseat is 56.7 inches wide; its reclined length is on the size chart.
Best for: the modular sofa set suits hosts who need the most seats per dollar. The reclining loveseat set suits households where everyone wants their feet up.
“Sofa is large enough for sitting multiple adults or lounging alone. Cushions are thick firm, not flattening when you sit, yet comfortable.”

5. About $4,300 to $4,750: the full outdoor living room
What you get: three ways to finish the room. The 6-piece modular sectional set ($4,360) adds an ottoman to the three-seat modular sofa and two recliners: five seats plus a place for your feet. The reclining console loveseat set ($4,336) gives four reclining seats with a console between the loveseat seats. The reclining sofa set ($4,743) pairs a three-seat reclining sofa, whose two end seats recline, with the two recliners.
For the same five-seat reclining layout in a different style, the Keywest reclining sofa set is $4,279.
Footprint: the 6-piece set's sofa is 101.6 inches wide, with a 35.8-inch ottoman. The Malibu II reclining sofa is 81 inches wide and 67 inches long fully reclined, and the console loveseat is 68.5 inches wide. Leave room behind each recliner to recline and swivel.
Best for: families and regular hosts who want the patio to work as a true second living room, including movie nights.

Is it good value?
Every tier above is built the same way: rust-proof aluminum frames, a rust-resistant treated-steel recline mechanism, handwoven HDPE resin wicker and high-resilience foam cushions, with free delivery, a 14-day full-refund window and a 5-year frame warranty. You are paying for seats and motion, not for a different grade of furniture. Owners who shopped around before buying said this:
“We chose this set over a similar one at Frontgate. We certainly got more value for the money”
“All of our guests have loved them and have asked where I bought them at. Not cheap, but worth it.”
